If we are never willing to spend any time alone, then we aren’t willing to get an accurate representation of who we are on a regular basis. To make it in this life we have to be willing to reflect upon our days and we have to be willing to decide with ourselves what moves we will make next. Sure it is very helpful to have people around who do have your best interests in mind, but if we don’t ever really know what we want, there is no possible way to move forward in the life in the direction we want to, if we don’t even know what direction we want to move in.

Spending time alone is healthy, so make sure you give yourself time each day to reflect and to plan for what is to come next in your life. If you aren’t willing to spend time alone then you will never be able to define yourself, you will be defined by someone else instead.

Solitude in nature allows me to reconnect with God in my soul. The “noise” and confusion of my everyday world can be left behind and I can just listen to what God is saying. Take time for yourself and sit quietly and reflect.

Take times of rest regularly…

Take times of rest regularly instead of waiting until you break down and have no other choice. Its more efficient to take frequent pauses than to come to a complete stop. When you feel like giving up, hold on just a little longer.
