Second chances doesn’t always equal happy endings.

Second chances doesn’t always equal happy endings.
Sometimes, it’s just another shot to end things the right way.

Take chances, a lot of them.

Take chances, a lot of them.
Because honestly, no matter where you end up and with who,
it always ends up just the way it should be.
Your mistakes make you who you are,
you learn and grow with each choice you make.
Everything is worth it. say how you feel – always.
Be you, and be okay with it.
It doesn’t matter what any other person thinks.

How Do You Recognize The Second Chances That Come Your Way?

I’d like to offer three suggestions that will help you see them.

1. Let go of the past. Learn your lessons. Never forget them, but move on. Learn to forgive others, and learn to forgive yourself. It’s difficult to move forward and take advantage of second chances if you are stuck in the past. Let it go.

Finish each day and be done with it. You have done what you could. Some blunders and absurdities no doubt creep in; forget them as soon as you can. Tomorrow is a new day; begin it well and serenely and with too high a spirit to be cumbered with your old nonsense. This day is all that is good and fair. It is too dear, with its hopes and invitations, to waste a moment on the yesterdays.
~ Ralph Waldo Emerson

2. Develop a positive attitude and awareness. Expect the best and look for the good. Become conscious of opportunities and very often you will find them right under your nose. Second chances can be quiet and disguised – one has to be on the lookout for them.

Thomas Jefferson said, “Nothing can stop the man with the right mental attitude from achieving his goal. Nothing on earth can help the man with the wrong attitude.”

Develop the right attitude for you and see what happens.

3. Persevere. Keep on. Figure it out. Press on. If one approach doesn’t work the way you would like it to, then try another. Do what you gotta do.

One of my very favorite quotes is from Ann Landers, who says, “If I were asked to give what I consider the single most important piece of advice for all humanity, it would be this:  Expect trouble as an inevitable part of life and when it comes, hold your head high, look it squarely in the eye and say, ‘I will be bigger than you.  You cannot defeat me.'”

So, then, our success formula is:

Let Go + Positive Attitude + Perseverance = Second Chances

Taking A Chance

A wise man turns chance into good fortune.
~ Thomas Fuller

Sometimes you have to take a chance
Even when your heart
Is shaking.
If something is really important to you,
It is worth
All effort
And you will do it.

Things may not work out
The way you had hoped,
But one thing is for certain,
Without taking a chance
It is completely hopeless.

Taking a chance
Is your best chance for success…

Love bravely, live bravely, be courageous,
there’s really nothing to lose.
There’s no wrong you can’t make right again,
so be kinder to yourself,
you know, have fun, take chances.
There’s no bounds.

Giving Second Chance

Acts of infidelity would most likely happen at least once in every relationship’s lifetime. Sometimes, people fall into the lure of getting attached to someone other than the one they love and usually get away denying it and lying with words. We must understand that there are deeply-rooted reasons why they act that way. It happens because most of the time strong passionate desires run over our will to do what is right. We simply ignore our conscience and just go with the flow of our impaired judgment and biased emotions.

There is no such thing as a perfect partner. We would always stumble and fall, hurt ourselves and the people we love. Difficult as it is, we must try to find a place in our heart to forgive. Let us not allow hatred to rule our lives for there will never be happiness for as long as there is bitterness in our hearts. If there will never be any room for forgiveness then most of us would be living with regret and bitter memories of letting go of people precious and important to us.

Remember, relationships that are clouded with doubts and filled with disbelief are like houses built on sand. They crack and fall apart on the slightest provocation. Love isn’t love without trust and trust will never find its roots if we are too hard to forgive and too revengeful in not giving those we love a second chance. You will never find the peace that you are searching for unless you learn to accept your fate, unless you find a space in your heart to forgive.
